What Are The Symptoms Of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?By Alane Palmer, ND, CNC

It starts with needing a nap here and there, forgetting to do a specific task or errand, then your compassion level for others seems to be withering away, your brain is not as clear as it used to be, but you are handling things. Then as time goes on, maybe a few months or even a few years the chronic fatigue symptoms get worse. What started as a nap once in a while turned into you having to lie down every day at 4pm for 1-2 hours. You have to write yourself a reminder note whenever you leave the house to remember where you are going and what you need to purchase. You also have to add to that list, the time to pick up the kids, and where. You keep getting sick every time someone coughs or sneezes that is around you. Before you used to have a strong immune system. And you feel like kicking yourself because your spouse asked you to do one particular thing for them today and you cannot remember what that one important thing is. Sadness is slipping in, and the sleep you need is getting harder to fall into. Your body knows it is tired, but for some reason, it will not allow you to sleep. The word seems like it is spinning to you, like a moving merry go round that will not let you off. You are afraid you will fall off and pass out, but you do not, you just keep on going wishing it would end. You are also scared to eat, as the food you once ate and digested fine is now a challenge to you and your new sensitive stomach.

These are some symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. It is not an illness, but rather a group of symptoms linked together to equal a syndrome that is all too real for too many people.
