I can hear my mom calling me from the kitchen, saying, “Alane, come into the kitchen and eat your breakfast, so you have a good day at school.” Little did mom know that my days would have been much better if I had not eaten breakfast. Not her fault; she did not know. And years later, at age 59, I can tell you that one crucial fact in my recent weight loss was learning how not to eat.
I reached out to a trainer I like, who taught me to wait until I am hungry to eat my first meal. I was scared that I would pass out walking around the clinic at work if I did not eat.
