Times have changed. Today is April 8th, 2020 and the clinic I love so much is now 100% virtual. I miss seeing all of my patients in the office but at least I get to enjoy helping them over the phone and via face time or zoom. I used to wake up at 7 am, jump in the shower and rush out with a smoothie in one hand and a ketone drink in the other and drive to the clinic to start seeing patients at 9 am. At 11 am my office staff would bring me a nice, hot cup of low acidic, organic coffee and then lunch break with them was at noon. My afternoon was filled with patients and therapies for people. My office staff is wonderful! I love them like crazy. They have such good hearts and love for all of the patients and want to see them get well, just like I do. They work hard for everyone.

As I said, times have changed. We are still working hard to help others feel good but we are working at home mostly. My office manager has a cell phone with the office phone on it and he uses his laptop. He drives to the clinic once a day to leave supplements outside the door for people and drop ships as needed.

I am learning how to be “techy”.  This means I am learning how to be a virtual nutrition counselor, and I am enjoying it and able to help people just as much as if they were sitting in front of me in the clinic. Today I had a 9 am, 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm patient. But instead of driving to work / the clinic every day, I just walk to my bedroom computer and put on my headset. Breakfast is still ketones and then a healthy smoothie and coffee is just in the kitchen when I need it.

Who am I able to help with virtual nutrition counseling? Everyone and Anyone! We have people that are new to us and people that are regulars with our clinic reaching out for a virtual nutrition counseling appointment. They are looking for natural ways to boost their immune system and stay healthy during this time. They are looking for information on what they should and shouldn’t be eating, which supplements are immune supportive and how to keep their energy levels up and stress levels down. At first, I was concerned that I would not be able to help people as much but I was wrong. I am loving the availability of technology and am grateful we have the option.

People are scarred these days I am trying to make them smile and teach them ways to stay strong both physically and mentally. I am realizing I can give them just as much help / support over the phone or face time (virtually) as I can if they were sitting in the clinic.
