Is a Gluten Free Diet right for YOU?

Hippocrates: “all disease begins in the gut”

What is a gluten intolerance? It is your body reacting to a protein that your body was not created to breakdown and accept. Your body may feel like it is getting annoyed, and will react with troublesome symptoms to let you know something is wrong.

Non-Celiac Gluten Intolerance is extremely prevalent in today’s society. The problem is that many people think that gluten only causes gut issues so if they are not experiencing upset stomachs, diarrhea, gas or bloating, they think gluten is okay to eat.  This is not necessarily the case.

Non – Celiac Gluten Intolerance can play a role in ANY illness, not just a gut condition. It can play a role in headaches, migraines, ADHD, bipolar, autism, dementia, depression, inflammation, pain syndromes, brain fog, skin conditions, trouble sleeping, fatigue, and so much more.

Did you know there is a gluten to gut to brain connection? This connection can cause a list of brain symptoms caused by a gut response to a food (with or without an upset stomach).

Is wheat the only gluten culprit? There are cross reactive food proteins that can cause the same symptoms that wheat gluten can. It is important that these other food proteins be identified and eliminated from the daily diet to improve health and wellness.

Is everyone gluten intolerant and should everyone be on a gluten free diet? No.

Why test before starting a gluten free diet? Once you go “gluten free” for a few weeks, the antibodies will reduce and you will not be able to test. It is very important to know for sure if gluten or cross reactive grains are a problem for you. Take out the guessing game.  Get answers to help you feel your best!
