I love what I do! I love getting out of bed each morning, driving to the clinic and meeting people that need and want guidance that is all natural in supporting their health and wellness. Some people already live the natural medicine life, and others need and want to learn more about it to see if Many people ask what the difference is between naturopathy and homeopathy.
Naturopathy is the umbrella that several modalities are under, including homeopathy. Other naturopathic modalities include nutritional guidance, herbal remedies, iridology, homeopathy, detox support, etc. When someone meets initially with a naturopath, the visit is usually very comprehensive where diet, medications, lifestyle, spirituality, herbs, vitamins and more are discussed. The main idea is to nourish the body with the nutrients it needs to enable the incredible self-healing capabilities of the body. Once the body has the proper supports like healthy foods, herbs to support symptoms or illnesses, vitamins that the person is deficient in, the health turn a-rounds can be life-changing. There are so many times when I merely adjust a person’s diet and give them maybe one bottle of an herb, and they return for their second visit stating how much better they are already feeling.
Homeopathy is a specific type of natural medicine. It usually is meant to help treat a particular symptom or illness. For example, if someone has inflammation that is troubling them I may give them a bottle of a homeopathic remedy that is called “Inflammatone” which can be used throughout the day. If someone has environmental allergies, I may give them a homeopathic remedy that has ALL of the items they are allergic to but it is suspended in a homeopathic bottle to help the immune system stop negatively responding to the allergens. Overt ime the immune system reacts appropriately.
